John grew up in the remodeling industry of Western North Carolina. His father, a remodeling expert and Eastern Pennsylvania native, was a property caretaker who developed a knack for working with reclaimed wood building materials. His perseverance and creativity restored and re-purposed several old homes in the Burnsville, NC area. John often accompanied him, developing years of experience in renovation and new construction as an apprentice.

After leaving home, he continued working on framing and trim crews while attending Eastern Mennonite University for business administration. In 2006 he started on his own as a framing and trim subcontractor. In 2012 he began building custom homes on his own. His passion has always been in delivering the best possible product for his clients.
